Draw Reins

Crafted from premium American cowhide, Oregon Leatherwear is tanned using a traditional vegetable pit tanning process to ensure exceptional durability and character. Each hide is individually selected for its blemish-free appearance, allowing for a completely natural, lacquer-free surface finish that showcases the leather’s true grain and quality.

Pre-oiled prior to sale, the leather offers a soft, supple feel from first use while maintaining the strength required for daily training. To preserve its condition, regularly clean with saddle soap and occasionally treat with a high-quality leather oil to maintain suppleness and longevity.

These draw reins are finished with strong synthetic rope sections, engineered to move freely through the bit rings for smooth, consistent contact.

Fitting Instructions:
Attach the snap ends to the girth or saddle, pass the reins through the bit rings (from inside to outside), and return them to the rider’s hands. Draw reins are a training aid designed to encourage the horse to lower and soften into the correct outline. They can also be configured as running reins if required.
